Jayme is a third-year Economics student at the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics, with a specialized minor in Financial Management. Over the recent summer, she made her mark at Ace Acumen Academy as a Human Resource Intern, where she not only spearheaded advancements in the bonus incentive program but also adeptly integrated the Ceridian HR and Finance system, benefiting 160+ employees. Her collaboration with a CPA to optimize the employee incentive program stands testament to her versatility; she seamlessly maintained legal compliance, enhanced the candidate screening process, and bolstered corporate relationships through strategic events and inventory oversight. At the environmentally-conscious startup Peko Produce in Vancouver, Jayme embraced the role of Partnership and Community Intern. There, she was an advocate for initiatives that target food waste reduction and promote affordable dietary options. Her tenure was marked by a profound expansion of her skill set, encompassing customer service communication, business operation analytics, and e-commerce dynamics. Jayme's knack for process optimization shone through as she tackled administrative challenges, pinpointed and addressed operational inefficiencies, and pioneered the brand ambassador program. This exceptional work ethic contributed to Peko Produce gaining recognition on platforms like CBC Vancouver, Dragon’s Den, and an array of pitch competitions. A proud Toronto native, Jayme is an alumna of Earl Haig Secondary School and has the distinction of completing the Claude Watson Arts Program with a major in Film Arts. Her multilingual abilities encompass fluency in English, French, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Outside of her professional and academic pursuits, Jayme has a penchant for reading, calligraphy, and photography. While she navigates the intricate world of finance, she's equally adept at threading her way through her next crochet creation.
