Shaylon is a fourth-year BBA student at the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics and is planning to specialize in finance and minor in economics. Shaylon has been involved with LIFA since his first year of university and has held various roles including: Vice President of Competitions and Events, Junior Executive, and Analyst. As Co-President, Shaylon is responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of LIFA’s initiatives and leading the executive team.
Shaylon is currently interning at Novacap, where he is responsible for analyzing private equity investment opportunities across technology, media, and telecommunications industries. Last winter, Shaylon interned at Altas Partners, where he focused on evaluating private equity investment opportunities in the industrials, healthcare, business services, and financial services industries. Two summers ago, Shaylon worked as an Investment Summer Analyst on the U.S. Large Cap Equities team at Burgundy Asset Management. His primary responsibilities include analyzing and valuing public investment opportunities using a quality-value investment approach. Previously, he interned at 302 Capital Partners and was actively involved in the firm’s investment evaluation process and has experience analyzing confidential information memorandums, financial information, and overall opportunity attractiveness.
Shaylon is from Mississauga, Ontario where he graduated from Stephen Lewis Secondary School. In his spare time, he enjoys playing basketball, cycling, watching Toronto Raptors games, cooking, and travelling.
