Derek Kwong

Derek is currently in the BBA program at Laurier, pursuing a minor in statistics. In the Winter of 2022, he worked as a Venture Capital Fall Analyst at Good News Ventures (early-stage tech) supporting deal sourcing and the due diligence process. He also previously worked at SVX (impact-driven financial services firm) in their advisory, compliance, and investment platform divisions.

As Vice President of Internal, he is responsible for coordinating interdepartmental communication, moderating team meetings, and promoting a healthy team environment. He grew up in Toronto, Ontario, where he graduated from North Toronto Collegiate Institute. In his spare time, he enjoys producing music, going to the gym, and cooking.
