Hassan El-Essawi

Hassan is a third year BBA student at the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics, concentrating in strategic management and minoring in economics. Hassan has been involved with LIFA since his first year, where he was selected as a research analyst. He has held various roles within LIFA including: Finance Instructor, VP Investments, and Co-President.

Hassan has completed investing internships at Altas Partners and Burgundy Asset Management. He has also worked part-time at Thought Partners, a family office, supporting their public and private investment activities, as well as at Alnes Capital, a search fund. Hassan will be joining Ares Management next summer, interning in their Special Opportunities Group.

Hassan is from Egypt and immigrated to Canada in 2011. Outside of school and work, Hassan enjoys lifting, reading, cycling, chess, perusing Value Investors Club, competing in case competitions through the Laurier Case Team, and nerding out about keyboards.
