Jayme Lai

Jayme is a second year Economics student at the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics with a minor in Financial Management. This past winter, she worked as a Partnership and Community Intern at Peko Produce, a Vancouver based startup with a mission to reduce food waste. She had the opportunity to gain skills in customer service communication, business operation analytics, e-commerce, and social media marketing/design. With that, she aided in administrative tasks, identified inefficiencies, and implemented the brand ambassador program. Featured on CBC Vancouver, Dragon’s Den, and various pitch competitions, Jayme experienced a taste of how to operate an emerging successful startup!

Jayme is from Toronto, Ontario where she graduated from Earl Haig Secondary School. Additionally, she speaks 4 languages consisting of English, French, Cantonese, and Mandarin. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, calligraphy, photography, and is occasionally seen bingeing a Netflix series or two.
